A suspect was arrested Thursday in the case of arms and legs found Tuesday in a fridge floating on the Albert Canal in Hermalle-sous-Argenteau (Oupeye), said Thursday the Liège prosecutor’s office.
The suspect was apprehended Thursday morning as he was preparing to take off for Korea from Zaventem. On Thursday, he was interviewed by the Federal Judicial Police (PJF) of Liège, in charge of the investigation. He will be brought before an examining magistrate on Friday. The discovery took place on Tuesday. A witness arrested by a floating refrigerator had contacted the police. All four limbs of a woman have been discovered.
According to preliminary information, the victim might be a 74-year-old mother who was killed by her son. However, this will have to be confirmed by the prosecution on Friday.
