The man who took refuge in a house in Moorslede on Tuesday was subdued by special units, said the West Flanders prosecutor’s office. The exact circumstances of the incident are not yet clear.
The prosecution might not give more information, nor confirm whether the man was armed or not. But the man would have posted a message on Facebook indicating that he had weapons on him, according to our colleagues from Het Nieuwsblad.
Special units were able to subdue him around 6:30 p.m.
