Arsenal miss return to fourth place

Arsenal missed out on returning to a Champions League spot.

With goalkeeper Bernd Leno on the bench, the Gunners lost 3-0 (2-0) at London rivals Crystal Palace and remain fifth in the Premier League. Arsenal had previously celebrated five away wins in a row.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (16th), Jordan Ayew (24th) and Wilfried Zaha (74th / penalty kick) scored for Palace, ninth in the table. Arsenal are further behind tied rivals Tottenham Hotspur but still have a game to go.

West Ham United are sixth, three points adrift of the Gunners and level on points with Manchester United.
