Big boost on the Arsenal transfer window. While the Gunners are not very far from reaching an agreement with West Ham for the transfer of Declan Rice, they have already got their hands on Kai Havertz. The London club announced on Wednesday evening the arrival of the German international striker from Chelsea. The amount of the transfer would amount to 65 million pounds according to the British media. Or 75 million euros. Arsenal say Havertz has signed a “long-term” contract with the vice-champion of England.

Havertz leaves Chelsea after three seasons at Stamford Bridge. Arrived from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020 for an estimated amount of 80 million euros, the German scored 32 goals in 139 matches under with the Blues, including the one that allowed Chelsea to win the Champions League final against Manchester City in 2021. Arsenal would thus be preparing to pay nearly 200 million euros to start its transfer window, including the transfer of Havertz. That says enough about his ambitions.
