Originating from the mystical Neudegg Alm in Salzburger Land, the first thing that strikes you is that it is at ArsGoatia for a part of those already dissolved Our Survival Depends on Us acts.

Musically, however, the course is set for full attack and occult Black Metal. So as a quartet you don’t carry the legacy of OSDOU away, but is ready to go its own way. This new creative influence has me hearing a debut album that’s pretty damn good.

Flying sparks community

Right at the opener Tongues Orifice Fire I’m dying of saliva because the dirty sound of the guitars literally jumps out at me. Add to that the poisonous vocals and a chorus that wants to eat you up. The initial aggressiveness turns into a melodic-hypnotic guitar maelstrom in the course of the song. Big number!

The next track then easily skips the bar of the first with its playful ease and complexity. In The Veints Of The Saints is a small Death/Black Metal masterpiece that I can listen to in a loop and always discover new details. Four and a half minutes that wound deep into my cerebral cortex. you can yourselves HERE listen to the amazing track.

Black Metal from the Alm

The Austrians’ album develops a tangible atmosphere that builds both energetic tension and uneasiness in me. Especially the powerful and mysterious When Heresy Repeats Itself brings out those feelings. Thom and Co. use their spirituality in their music to pull the lever that I find essential in Black Metal and that touches me deeply.

In the sluggish inferno Stigmata´s Mouth and the majestic Tyrant Of All Men the album finds its crowning conclusion. As mentioned at the beginning, I’m really enthusiastic about the sound, because it captures the mood and morbidity and sets it in scene.

Conclusion
ArsGoatia
can be proud of their first pupil Hiding Amongs Humans be. In my opinion, the disc can do a lot and has what it takes to achieve future classic status. All in all we hear a deep black stroke of genius lasting about half an hour and I claim that Austria has a flagship Black again Metal Band. infernal 9 / 10
