Film director Sunil Babu passed away. He passed away at Amrita Hospital, Ernakulam on Thursday night due to a heart attack. He has worked as an art director in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Bollywood films. Pathanamthitta is a native of Mallapally.
Sabu entered the film industry as Cyril’s assistant. Notable films in Malayalam are ‘Ananthabhadram’, ‘Urumi’, ‘Chhota Mumbai’, ‘Ami’, ‘Premam’, ‘Notebook’, ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’, ‘Pazassiraja’, ‘Bangalore Days’ etc. The art direction in Anantabhadra won the State Film Award for Best Art Director. In Bollywood, ‘M.S. He worked in films like ‘Dhoni’, ‘Gajini’, ‘Lakshya’ and ‘Special Chowbies’.
He was admitted to the hospital three days ago due to a small swelling on his leg. The last time he worked was in the Tamil film ‘Warisi’ starring Vijay. The film is regarding to be released.
