  • SRF presenter Arthur Honegger has a passion for skating and snowboarding.

  • The 44-year-old recently had an accident in the halfpipe and injured his knee, as he reveals on Instagram with a hospital photo.

  • In an interview with 20 minutes, the “10 to 10” moderator tells how the accident happened and how he is doing now.

A look at Arthur Honegger’s Instagram account and it’s clear: the 44-year-old loves to stand on the board. It doesn’t seem to matter whether it’s surfing, skating or snowboarding. However, the latter did not end particularly well for the “10 vor 10” moderator recently. As he revealed on Instagram, there was an accident during a jump in the halfpipe, where he injured his knee. “It was a classic mishap: I got caught on the edge of the pipe and then crashed into the flat,” he explained the situation to 20 minutes’ request.

After the accident, Honegger first went to the family doctor and then to the hospital for an MRI. He can now give the all-clear – at least for the moment. “Nothing is totally broken. But it looks as if something has cracked, »says the Bündner. He can walk and he’s “quite okay” given the circumstances, but he’s still struggling with pain. He says bravely: “It helps to keep quiet.”

According to Honegger, it is still unclear what the long-term consequences will be like: “I hope that I will be spared. But with the knee you never know, you know it all from before.” All in all, the father of two has had an accident with his board for the fifth time – although he considers himself cautious. And yet nothing seems to stop him from getting back on the board: “In the future there will probably be more powder than pipe for me – when it finally snows!”

Because of an accident, Arthur Honegger has to postpone the documentary shoot

The SRF man also doesn’t want to be taken back in front of the camera soon. “I can moderate, you don’t have to make big leaps,” he jokes. For better or for worse, he had to postpone a few action-packed shoots for a documentary film – ironically on the subject of snowboarding.
