Barcelona, Feb 15 (EFE).- Arval Spain has formalized a sustainable loan of 350 million with CaixaBank that it will use to acquire vehicles for its leasing fleet, and both companies have also converted a 150 million loan signed in March into a sustainable loan.
These credits are linked to ESG criteria (Environmental, Social and Governance) and the sustainability indicators that have been taken into account for these loans are the ratio of new electric propulsion vehicles with respect to the total fleet, CaixaBank reported in a release.
Currently, 20% of the Arval fleet in Spain is already electrified, with 5 vehicles with a zero emission label and 15% with an ECO label.
Through this loan, Arval Spain shows its present and future commitment to evolve in the development of these indicators and, if any of them are not met, to make an additional contribution for social or environmental purposes. jd/pll/ltm
