Bheeshma Parvam was Mammootty’s smashing comeback to theaters after Covid. Directed by Amal Neerad, the film featured Nadia Moidu, Soubin Shahir, Shine Tom Chacko, Srinda and Srinath Bhasi. Sushin Shyam’s music also played a big role in getting the movie to the audience.
Sushin Shyam says that there was a plan to release the film in OTT and Amal Neerad confirmed the theater after seeing the music in the film. Sushin spoke about Bhishma Parva in an interview given to Ginger Media Entertainment.
‘Some corrections are discussed with Amaleton after the reels. After watching the last reels and saying that there is no correction, the spot left my hand. Pulli liked the program terribly. The person who was saying OTT till then said that I have fixed this theatre. It was as if the spot had been decided that day. I was very excited to hear that. I made Pulli excited. And I got more confidence. That means the item has been taken a little higher,’ said Sushin.
Sushin said that he was under a lot of stress till the release day of Varathan and even lost sleep.
When you know that certain areas have been worked on in the theater, you get that feeling when you buy a new car. When the scene of the last fight happened in Varathan, that thing had come after seeing the excitement of the people. Work was done in a different atmosphere in that film. It was very stressful till the end of the film.
There was no sleep as the release approached. After that, when I got to the theater, and when people went to that red light, there is a thing called happy tears, that thing came. I get emotional after seeing some pictures. I am sometimes less cheerful.
Tears came from my eyes when I saw the end of Sudani. I cried. Uttara (partner) said, “Hey, aren’t you crying?” It also cries during correct lighting. Then he wiped his eyes and somehow walked away. I love watching such feel good pictures. Such pictures are rare to see,’ Sushin said.
