Aurelie Moeremans appeared to sing at the recent ASEAN Summit. The artist is now telling about this extraordinary experience.
By sending a short video, Aurelie admitted that she was happy to be able to entertain many heads of state. He felt honored to be given this opportunity.
“I felt very, very excited about singing at the ASEAN Summit for a number of heads of state, because I was singing not for VIPs anymore, but VVVIPs, it was very, very important. Then I was really happy too, excited because I was singing really Indonesian songs to several foreign country,” he said.
“I’m proud because how come they thought of inviting me. I feel very honored and yes, I’m happy,” he continued.
At the ASEAN Summit, the film star Particleir performed two dangdut songs. He also succeeded in making heads of state sway.
“Yesterday I performed two songs, namely Cikini Ke Gondangdia and No Comment. Yes, both are dangdut,” he said.
“I’m really happy because I’ve never sung dangdut before. Usually it’s ballads. In my opinion, this is a unique experience and yesterday the response was very positive, everyone joined in dancing, I said I was really happy,” he continued.
Aurelie then revealed that there was a funny story behind her appearance at the ASEAN Summit. Apparently the manager had rejected the offer because the artist had to sing dangdut.
“Actually, there’s a funny story, at that time my manager was the one who was contacted, then my manager said to me, ‘Yes, you were asked to sing at the ASEAN Summit, but you were asked to sing dangdut’. I was the one, ‘Oh yeah?’ “Then my manager initially refused, he said that I should sing dangdut,” he said.
Hearing her manager refuse, Aurelie Moeremans immediately became annoyed. He also asked his manager to contact the inviter again and say he would accept the offer.
“Then, but this is the ASEAN Summit, I tried to contact again saying I want, I want. Finally I took this job,” he concluded.
