Dubai: With Pakistan winning by 155 runs against Hong Kong, the India-Pakistan match is back in the Asia Cup. With both the teams from Group A reaching the Super Four, the stage is set for India-Pak battle again on Sunday. The match will be played at the Dubai International Stadium at 6 pm (7.30 IST).
Pakistan won the crucial match in Sharjah on Friday by beating Hong Kong in batting and bowling. After losing the toss and batting, Pakistan made 193 runs losing only two wickets in 20 overs. Pakistan scored 64 runs in the first ten overs in the same style as the India-Hong Kong match. However, Pakistan reached 193 in the second half with Mohammad Rizwan (78 off 57 balls), Fakhar Zaman (53 off 41 balls) and Khushdi Shah (35 off 15 balls).
This is the highest score in this Asia Cup. In reply, Hong Kong went into bat and collapsed like a house of cards. All were out for 38 from 16 without losing a wicket. Shadab Khan who took four wickets for eight runs, Mohammad Nawaz who took three wickets for five runs and Naseem Shah who dismissed two for seven runs destroyed Hong Kong. Hong Kong’s top scorer is 10 runs in extras.
