Asia Ranking 2022 | Asia Rankings 2022: Leading Chinese Universities; 4 Indian universities in the top 100

Chinese universities have maintained their position as the best higher education institutions in the Asian region. According to the Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, the top two universities in this year’s Asia ranking list are from China. This is the third year in a row that Chinese universities have achieved this feat. In addition, 30 out of the top 100 are Chinese universities. China’s Xinhua and Peking universities are in the top two.

Six Saudi Arabian universities have made it into the top 100. Last year, there were four universities on the list. King Abdul Aziz University was the best performer. The university is ranked 28th.

Eight Japanese universities made the list. In 2021, 14 Japanese universities were on the list. There are 118 Japanese universities in the top 200 this time around.

India ranks below China, Japan and Saudi Arabia. Only four Indian universities made it into the top 100. 17 Indian universities have made it into the top 200. Last year it was 18.
