Assassination attempt on Pakistan’s first transgender journalist An attempt was made on Marwa Malik, a native of Islamabad. According to an international media report, Marwa was attacked by a gang while returning home from a pharmacy near the army camp in Lahore.

Marva also demanded police protection as she was receiving threatening messages through phone and mail.
