Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake: News, Updates, and Speculations

2023-07-01 00:55:18

Ubisoft has made it clear that Assassin’s Creed is the most popular franchise today. We already knew Assassin’s Creed Mirage was coming in October, and then Assassin’s Creed Code Red, Assassin’s Creed Code Jade, Assassin’s Creed Code Hexe, and Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR awaited on the horizon. If all goes according to plan, we might even return to the beloved setting. Because Kotaku’s Ethan Gach heard from two sources that Ubisoft is working on a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. That’s the one with Edward Kenway and a lot of naval battles and exploration, if you don’t remember. I can confirm this to a degree, but my sources tell me that the project is still in its early stages and they haven’t decided if it will be a direct remake or just “heavily inspired by Black Flag”. One thing to note before you celebrate too loudly, Ubisoft Singapore, the same studio that makes Skull and Bones these days, will be one of the main studios making it. Of course, that’s quite fitting considering the upcoming game is starting development, as many loved the naval aspect of Black Flag, but things didn’t go well with skulls and bones. Either way, it will be years before the new Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag sees the light of day once more, so why don’t you share your thoughts on what should be changed, improved on this “remake” and don’t fight with us Pi contact.
