In the image below, you can see the prediction of several games that will arrive this year. Assassin’s Creed Mirage would be scheduled for August, while Skull and Bones had a portion cut out of the picture. After several postponements, many speculated that the game would be canceled, something that does not seem to be the case.

Renowned tipster Tom Henderson shared the information about Assassin’s Creed Mirage in December 2022. The game was expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2023, but received several delays.

Another ScriptLeaksR6 leak hinted at a further delay. According to him, Assassin’s Creed Mirage would only arrive in the second quarter with The Crew: Motorfest.

Originally, Mirage was going to be an expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but it ended up becoming a standalone title. Set several years earlier, it will follow the journey of Basim Ibn Ishaq, who went from thief to one of the most important members of the Brotherhood of Assassins.

Update (03/27/2023) – GS

Earlier in the year, Ubisoft announced a series of postponements and cancellations. While Assassin’s Creed: Mirage wasn’t in the midst of this wave of delays, the game still doesn’t have an official release date, with many assuming the title will be released sometime in fiscal 2023 (between April 2023 and March 2024). .

Some time ago, the alleged Allegro store leak indicated that the title will be released on June 30, 2023, but so far, that date has not yet been confirmed.

This week, leaker ScriptLeaksR6, known for leaking accurate Rainbow Six information and even a gameplay preview of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, revealed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will “probably” be delayed. In the same rumor, the leaker indicates that “Project Orlando”, known as the upcoming The Crew Motorfest, will also be postponed.

Even though they are still planned for the 2023 fiscal year, they may not arrive until next year. Among Ubisoft’s main releases for this year, we still have Skull and Bones and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but as always, we’ll have to wait for the official dates to find out if the rumors are true.

Will we see the new Assassin’s Creed later this year?

Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date may have leaked via store

Ubisoft is going through a very delicate moment, but even so, the company still has many games scheduled for its next fiscal year, which starts from April of this year.

Among the many games already announced, one of the most anticipated is undoubtedly Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which promises to take the franchise back to its roots while presenting a much denser and more realistic map. Although previous rumors indicated that the game would not be released until August of this year, it seems that a Polish store ended up leaking that the game will arrive ahead of schedule.

According to the Allegro store, the Ubisoft game will be released in June 30, 2023. June 30th is a Friday, the most common day for game releases, especially AAA games. Although it seems like a plausible date, June 30th is also the last day of the month, which could mean that it’s just a fictional date.

The fact that a local retailer would also know the date so far in advance is also odd, unless Ubisoft is about to officially announce the date and release pre-orders.

For now, we should treat the date with some suspicion, but it really would be great if the game actually launches in the first half of the year.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will feature a richer, denser map than previous Assassin’s Creed games

This week, Ubisoft has made a series of statements that indicate the company’s health is not in the best of shape, including canceling three unannounced games and delaying the release of Skull and Bones for a sixth time.

Even with such negative factors, many players have high expectations for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the next game in the franchise that promises to be a return to the roots that made it famous and that could be released in August of this year.

In a recent interview with GamesRadar, Stéphane Boudon, the game’s creative director, gave more details about the project and promised that Ubisoft is taking advantage of modern technology to create a world that is richer and full of details than the classic games in the franchise.

The increased hardware power and extended experience we’ve developed also allows us to have a richer and denser map compared to the first ACs, and that means for us more gameplay opportunities, more interactions between systems, more depth. It also means incredible, immersive detail to treat Baghdad like one of Mirage’s main characters.

One of the old systems that returns in Mirage is crowd camouflage, but according to Boudon, this tool now looks more natural and realistic.

For crowd camouflage, for example, we took a more systemic approach. In AC 2 you could see the pattern of NPCs grouping in your lane, it was awesome back then but it was a bit artificial. With the chaos and vibe of Baghdad that we wanted, a system like that wouldn’t fit, so we went for a more organic one, a bit like Unity, where you automatically blend in as soon as you have three people around, it’s harder to master and less Predictable, but much more engaging.

The director also promises that the stealth mechanics have been updated and classic mechanics like smoke bombs and knife throwing are back, but now you can uniquely improve them to suit your playstyle.

The statements certainly seem to describe a very promising game worthy of taking the franchise to new heights, but as usual, we’ll have to wait to find out.

This week, Insider-Gaming indicated that the game should hit stores in August next year. The source known for revealing accurate information about the video game industry indicates that this is Ubisoft’s current prediction, but reveals that the studio has already been forced to postpone the launch twice, which means that they will only make the official reveal of the date. when you are sure.

As always, we can only wait for the official reveal to find out if the rumors are correct.

Set for release in 2023 and developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, the studio behind Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s “Wrath of the Druids” expansion, Mirage is described as a special tribute to the first game in the franchise.

It will bring the return of the action-adventure style that enshrined the previous games, abandoning the RPG influences present in Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. The game will take place in the ninth century city of Baghdad during the “Golden Age” of Islamic civilization.

During this time, several scholars from the Muslim world made important contributions to the sciences. Check out the trailer below:

Ubisoft describes Mirage as a narrative action-adventure experience with an engaging story, charismatic protagonists, a huge city to explore and modernized gameplay with a focus on parkour, stealth and assassinations.

Players will control Basim Ibn Is’haq, a thief with a mysterious past who will join the Hidden Ones. Basim’s mentor will be Roshan, voiced by renowned Emmy Award-winning actress Shohreh Aghdashloo.

In an interview with the VGC website, the director of the series, Marc-Alexis Cote, brought a novelty that could sadden some fans. Mirage will be the last game in the franchise for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Upcoming releases Assassin’s Creed Red and Assassin’s Creed Hexe will be next-gen and PC exclusives.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released in 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Amazon Luna and PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.
