The two-day forum drew oncology specialists from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco.
The Role of Multidisciplinary Teams
A significant portion of the agenda focused on the deployment of Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs). The sessions utilized real-world case simulations to demonstrate how these collaborative models function in clinical settings.
Technology as a Diagnostic Tool
Beyond traditional practice, the summit examined the integration of artificial intelligence and digital health technologies into oncology care.
Building a Resilient Healthcare Ecosystem
Sherif Nour, Country President of AstraZeneca Egypt, stated that the summit was designed to foster a more resilient healthcare ecosystem. “At AstraZeneca, we believe that transforming cancer care requires an integrated healthcare ecosystem built on scientific innovation, continuous medical education and strong partnerships with the healthcare community,” Nour said. He noted that the platform was intended to allow professors and specialists to collaborate on sustainable models of care.
Prioritizing Patient-Centered Advancements
