Marcus Wandt and his astronaut colleagues landed in the sea off the coast of Florida at 2:30 p.m. Swedish time.
The capsule entered the atmosphere at a speed of 27,000 kilometers per hour, or 7.5 kilometers per second. The astronauts are released from the capsule following it is fished out by a ship.
The return journey was postponed several times due to bad weather conditions. The plan was for Wandt to be on the ISS space station for two weeks, but due to the delays, he was there for 18 days. The trip between the space station and Earth takes regarding two days, so in total Wandt was in space for 22 days.
But now the space travelers are back home on Earth.
