ASUS Launches 1TB ROG Strix SQ7 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

ASUS is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of motherboards and, in general, one of the largest manufacturers of computer equipment. It produces almost everything you can imagine, from mouse pads to huge widescreen displays. However, her portfolio still has a few omissions. One of them is solid state drives. In the near future, ASUS is going to fill this gap.

ASUS Taiwan office published on its Facebook page* a promotional poster that the company will soon release its first NVMe SSD. It will be called ROG Strix SQ7.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not provide detailed details regarding the drive. It is only known that it is made in the M.2 2280 format, supports the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and has a capacity of 1 TB. The presence of a thin graphene heatsink, in theory, will allow you to use the ROG Strix SQ7 SSD with the PlayStation 5 game console.

The company does not indicate this, but it is very likely that the announcement of the new product will take place as part of the Boundless event scheduled for May 17 by ASUS, or during the Computex 2022 exhibition, which starts on May 24.

* It is included in the list of public associations and religious organizations in respect of which the court has made a final decision to liquidate or ban activities on the grounds provided for by Federal Law No. 114-FZ of July 25, 2002 “On countering extremist activity”.
