ASUS announced the ROG Ally in 2023 (check out its review here) and the manufacturer doesn’t want to waste time, as it might be preparing a new portable console for 2024. We’re talking regarding the ROG Ally 2, which according to the Indian portal Techlusive, is already being developed.

According to the website, the information was revealed by the vice president of Asus India, Arnold Su, during an interview following the Zenbook 14 OLED launch event. In the conversation, Su reportedly said that ASUS will likely launch a second generation of portable consoles in 2024.

Furthermore, Arnold Su also revealed that ASUS will focus on improving the gaming experience on the ROG Ally 2, but it will still use Windows as the operating system.

This might mean that ASUS will improve features integrated into the Ally to allow the player to control the console’s performance with greater precision and have easier access to the games installed on it with a more intuitive launcher, as the ROG Ally experience is satisfactory, but not yet It’s perfect as on the Steam Deck.
