In May 2023, Daniel and Yvette, aged 83 and 84, won the regional Wii bowling title in Rennes, during the 18th edition of Stunfest, the festival of video game cultures. This competition, reserved for those over 65, brings together players living in retirement homes – in Laillé for the winning duo.
“I used to play a lot of scrabble, but I didn’t know about video games. Since we started playing bowling, I find it very good. It changes habits. This helps to improve concentration. And we both like competition. We have been training for the tournament since the beginning of the year,” explained Yvette.
Qualified for the national finals following this first level of competition, Yvette and Daniel will try to triumph in the Wii Bowling senior trophy, which will take place from November 1, 2023 in Paris, as announced BFMTV. Last year, a couple from the same residence won the title.
