At Altice, the sale of the Portuguese operator Meo is taking shape

In the dismantling of the Drahi empire, eyes are on the future of SFR. But the solution to its approximately 60 billion debt and to the concerns of analysts might well come from where they least expect it: Portugal, the home from which emerged the corruption scandal which is now shaking the galaxy Altice.

Among Patrick Drahi’s companies and well before France, Altice Portugal is the asset “the easiest to sell and understand”, comment several investors who were approached by his advice. SFR is a complex subject, given the only minority opening and the weight of the debt, according to them. “With Altice Portugal, there, it’s a 100% sale, and for the rest (clean up practices), you just have to change the teams if this is not already done during the sale,” explains one of ‘between them.
