At least four dead and several injured after a multiple crash on a Texas highway

Anna Police and firefighters responded to the scene of a serious multi-vehicle crash that killed four people Friday afternoon in Collin County in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area.

The Collin County Sheriff confirmed there were four fatalities and several people with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident occurred on northbound US Highway 75, just past White Street.

Approximately five vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the cars ended up engulfed in flames, according to the Collin County Sheriff.

Traffic was being diverted to an access road on White Street.

Authorities warned that traffic delays were expected while the highway remains closed for an extended period.

The Anna Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
