At least nine dead and several missing after continuous rain in northern Italy

ROME – A severe storm front that has hit the northern Italian Adriatic regions of Emilia-Romagna and Marche since Tuesday has claimed nine lives. The authorities announced on Wednesday that 13,000 people had to be evacuated. The city of Forlì is partially flooded following the Montone river burst its banks. There were also severe floods in the cities of Cesena, Faenza, Senigallia, Riccione and Rimini.
