At the end of August, graphics cards will be significantly cheaper again?

The prices of the current GeForce RTX 3000 graphics cards and the Radeon RX 6000 models from AMD could fall significantly again at the end of August.

As the colleagues from MyDrivers report, both AMD and Nvidia are said to be preparing for a “radical” price reduction for the current graphics cards for gamers. The inventories of the current graphics cards are said to be so high and the production of the next generation of graphics cards to start that new buyers can only be found by significantly reducing the price.

At Nvidia, the price reduction should be very high in order to give dealers the opportunity to still be able to sell the graphics cards profitably with new discount campaigns. According to Nvidia, sales of graphics cards fell by around 44 percent in the last quarter, which will also affect the company’s general business figures. It has already been confirmed that the company plans to adjust the prices of its own graphics cards again in order to be able to reduce inventories.

The colleagues have not yet been able to answer more precise details, which graphics cards will already be reduced in price at the end of August and how exact the price reduction will be. The prices for high-end graphics cards have in some cases more than halved in the past eight months, so that a further price reduction could lead to real bargains. It remains to be seen to what extent dealers and board partners will pass the price reduction on to customers.
