For 31 years, ANMAT has controlled and supervised health and quality of medical products, chemicals, reagents, medicines, diagnostic elements, materials and biomedical technology, food, additives, dyes, sweeteners and ingredients used in food, hygiene products, toiletries and cosmetics, etc. Also on the processes of supply, production, fractionation, import/export, deposit and commercialization of said products. It also monitors and detects the appearance of adverse effects resulting from the consumption and use of products, elements and materials.
Development, Research and Technological Innovation
ANMAT implements research and development programs in those fields related to the processes and products of its areas of competence, as a way of maintaining its leadership for decision-making. In addition, it is linked to the academic and scientific sector and uses the knowledge generated in order to achieve better results.

It is a fully national capital laboratory, with more than 50 years of experience producing quality products at fair prices. Its wide range of products ranges from oncological medicines, for HIV, antibiotics, anovulatory and cardiological, to anti-inflammatories, among others. Its production plant is located in the town of Garín, in the province of Buenos Aires, from where products are exported to several Latin American countries.
