This afternoon there was a meeting between the state unions and the provincial government regarding the steps to follow in the analysis of the salary negotiation after the latest inflation data for March, which exceeded 8% in Río Negro.

In an official statement, the Province did not provide further announcements. It limited itself to informing that it was about the creation of a space that “was agreed jointly with the unions that group state workers.”

He made reference to the meeting that took place at the Ministry of Economy in Viedma together with ATE and UPCN, where the application of the salary agreement reached in the last negotiation and its impact on the different concepts of Laws 1844 and 1904 (Health) was analyzed.

In this sense, they pointed out that «the space for dialogue was pondered and work to address specific issues that later allow an in-depth analysis and in a consensual manner with the unions.

It was also agreed that the formation of the Commission for Monitoring and Application of the Salary Agreement and will be composed by a government representative and another from each union entity that participates in the Public Function Board, which could expand the structure according to the topic to be discussed.

In advance of this invitation, ATE requested a new salary proposal that includes a new percentage increase or an additional amount to the proposals that have been made.

In this sense, the general secretary of the union Rodrigo Vicente pointed out that “this rising inflation forces a greater effort on the part of the Government and We do not rule out measures if a real and sincere effort is not made that allows workers to stop losing purchasing power with salaries that are completely eroded by the increase in prices, especially in essential products such as clothing and food.
