ARLINGTON, Texas — Orlando Arcia broke the tie with a solo home run with two out in the ninth inning, and the Atlanta Braves avoided losing back-to-back series, something they haven’t experienced this season, by topping Wednesday’s 6th -5 to the Texas Rangers.

Another Venezuelan Ronald Acuña Jr., contributed a home run for the fourth consecutive game for Atlanta, leader of the East Division of the National League.

Puerto Rican Eddie Rosario hit a two-run home run in the second inning, ending starter Nathan Eovaldi’s work in 29 2/3 innings.

For Texas, leader of the American League West, Cuban Adolis Garcia hit a couple of solo homers, which allowed him to extend his number of RBIs this season to 46, the best figure in the majors.

The Braves won two of three games in Texas after being swept in all three games in Toronto over the weekend.

Nick Anderson (2-0), the Braves’ fourth pitcher, pitched a scoreless eighth before Raisel Iglesias pitched a perfect ninth for his second save.

The defeat went to Brock Burke (2-2).

For the Braves, the Venezuelans Acuña 4-1 with two runs scored and one RBI, Arcia 3-1 with one run scored and one produced. Puerto Rican Rosario 3-1 with a run scored and two RBIs. The Dominican Marcell Ozuna of 3-1.
