Financial situation in relation to the salary cap

With $148,480,277 contractually committed for this 2022-23 seasonthe Atlanta Hawks will have to make roster-level choices if they don’t want to enter the Luxury Tax.
The front office has managed a few moves this summer, to significantly improve the workforce while offloading some troublesome contracts, including that of Danilo Gallinari, who received more than 20 million a year in Atlanta. With this cap space released, the Hawks signed Dejounte Murray for 33 million over two years and other players with lower salaries, which do not exceed 5 million dollars per year: Aaron Holiday and Frank Kaminsky, in particular.
