The 14th round of the 2022 US Supercross Championship takes place outdoors at the Motor Speedway in Atlanta, Georgia. We tell you everything with the help of Wikipedia.

The Atlanta Motor Speedway (formerly known as the Atlanta International Raceway) is a motor racing circuit located in Hampton, Georgia, 32 km south of Atlanta. Its length is 2.48 km. The average speeds reached over a lap can exceed 306 km/h. Its particularly abrasive surface causes premature tire wear. In July 2021, Nascar announces that the circuit will be “resurfaced” in 2022 so that the track has an inclination of 28° (instead of 24°).

For the boxes
We don’t really care about all these figures because the SX race takes place only on the straight part of the oval, in front of the main stands. The capacity is 71,000 to 125,000 seats depending on the configuration. It used to be that the Nextel Cup and the Craftsman Truck Series came to Atlanta twice a year. The first race of the season took place in March while the second took place at the end of October. Since 2015, only one race has been organized at the beginning of March: the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. Saturday April 16 from 1 p.m., it’s Supercross.
