June 8 is World Oceans Day. On this occasion, a look back at an ecological disaster on the African shores of the Atlantic, on the outskirts of Dakar in Senegal. Once a paradise for fishermen and a vacation spot, Hann Bay is disfigured and suffocated by pollution. At the edge of the ocean, the bay of Hann disappears under the waste and wastewater from the surrounding industries. In 2014, and despite citizen initiatives, the depollution work remains in the planning stage. Report by Sophie Roussi and Eric Black.
