It’s a common misconception that dogs instinctively know which plants are poisonous to them. Your ancestor, the wolf, has this instinct, but our four-legged friends lost it long ago. Even cats are not immune to poisoning. Fragrant plants often exert a great attraction, especially on young animals. If they chew on it, however, it can be dangerous.
