On June 9, Christie’s presents an antique Rolex watch that was worn on his wrist by a British prisoner during World War II, and was used to organize the famous “Great Escape” from a Nazi camp in 1944.
The watch, a Rolex 3525 Monobloco, was worn by RAF First Lieutenant Gerald Emson during his detention in the Nazi camp “Stalagh Luft 3” in Polish Silesia.
