Australia’s Alyssa Healy with a huge run payout in the Cricket World Cup final

Christchurch: Australia set a 357-run target for victory over England in the final of the Women’s ODI Cricket World Cup on the strength of Alyssa Healy’s century. Batting first in Christchurch, Australia lost five wickets in 50 overs for 356 runs. Healy hit 138 off 178 balls with 26 fours.

The Australian women, who scored just 37 runs in the powerplay, then set foot on the Himalayan scoreboard. With this, England had to wait until the 30th over to break the Alyssa Healy-Rachel Hines opening partnership. Australia added 160 for the first wicket in 29.1 overs. Rachel Hines was the first bowler to score 68 off 93 balls. Beth Mooney, who came in third at the crease, added 62 off 47 balls. Healy’s innings as opener lasted until the 46th over.
