Vienna – An Austrian Airlines plane turned around following taking off from Vienna-Schwechat Airport on Wednesday. “Following departure of flight OS 087 from Vienna to New York (JFK), a technical error prevented the slats from being retracted, so the aircraft turned back for safety reasons. The aircraft is safe and without incident a little over an hour following take-off landed back in Vienna,” it said.
