ENGEL, the Austrian injection molding machine manufacturer and system solution provider, lands in Tangier. The company launches its subsidiary ENGEL Maghreb, specializing in sales and service. It was inaugurated in the presence of customers and partners of the group.
“The opening of our subsidiary in the Maghreb is an important step in strengthening our proximity to our customers in the region. We are considering local roots over the long term”, said Romain Reyre, CEO of ENGEL Maghreb Sarl and CEO of ENGEL France. ENGEL intends to achieve sustainable growth to support customers present in the Kingdom. It will employ about ten people who will ensure the commercial relationship with existing and future customers. The team will be headed by Hamid Loucif, sales manager. The company also intends to further expand its offer for the region.
In addition to the automotive sector, in which ENGEL has been one of the main suppliers in the region for many years, the group is targeting new growth opportunities in other business areas. “Morocco is establishing itself as a global manufacturing site for medical technology, packaging and also rail. ENGEL has real know-how in these industries. This is why we believe in the huge potential for future growth that these sectors could have”, emphasizes Romain Reyre. For training and customer trials, the group is in partnership with the IFMIA (Institut de Formation aux Métiers de l’Industrie Automobile).
