Board of Directors appoints General Director Jutta Lichtenecker to the management team

Vienna (OTS) The Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) is setting the course for the next five years. At the meeting of the ÖGK Board of Directors on November 21st, the new management team with proven faces and a new addition was unanimously appointed.

Mag. Bernhard Wurzer was confirmed in his role as General Director, as were his two deputies, Dr. Rainer Thomas and Mag. Alexander Hagenauer, MPM, were reappointed for the coming term of office. New to the management team is MMag.a Jutta Lichtenecker. The qualified business economist and information manager has many years of experience in the area of ​​social insurance and was previously head of the department for the contract partner medication area in the umbrella organization of social insurance companies. With her expertise, she provides valuable input for the digitalization program in order to position ÖGK as a modern health insurance company.

Andreas Huss, MBA, Chairman of the Austrian Health Insurance Fund: “We are pleased to now have a very competent and committed woman in the management team who has many years of experience in social insurance and is well connected. “We therefore have a strong and highly competent team in our top management that will continue to place a strong focus on expanding health care for our 7.5 million insured people.”

KommR Matthias Krenn also welcomes the decision: “With the reappointment of part of the existing management and the expansion of the team, the path to becoming the most modern health insurance fund in Europe can be pursued through continuity.”

The new term of office starts on July 1, 2024.
