Authorities install Social Protection Table in Alberdi

Asunción, IP Agency.- In the town of Alberdi, department of Ñeembucú, the installation of the Social Protection Table was carried out as part of the Government’s initiative to bring State services closer to districts with the highest vulnerability index.

The Minister of Social Development, Tadeo Rojas, the institution that coordinates the installation of the Social Protection Roundtables, participated in the event held yesterday Friday, along with the Ministers of Health, María Teresa Barán, Minister of Women, Cynthia Figueredo, the director of Migration, Jorge Kronawetter, Governor Víctor Fornerón and local mayor Roberto Sotelo.

The program brings together the State’s offer through the Social Cabinet to address the needs of the most vulnerable communities. Its main objective is to promote the coordination of policies, programs and resources between different government and civil society actors to guarantee comprehensive and effective protection.

22 municipalities will be prioritized to promote the Social Protection Network in joint work with the governorates and municipalities, in line with the National Poverty Reduction Plan.

Additionally, the Social Protection Roundtable focuses on identifying and addressing the specific needs of each community, adapting interventions according to the particularities of each context.
