The second edition of the second-hand car show in Morocco, “Auto Occasion”, was inaugurated on Tuesday in Casablanca, at the initiative of the Moroccan automotive monthly “Autonews”, under the aegis of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. This Show, which is held from May 23 to 28 in a space of 6,000 m², brings together professionals and the stands of several players in the sector, in particular finance companies, participatory banks, and the insurance company AtlantaSanad, official sponsor. of this demonstration.

Speaking on this occasion, the publishing director of “Autonews” magazine, Fatima Zahra Ouriaghli, indicated that the second edition of the second-hand car show is being held in a particular environment given the current crisis in the new car, marked in particular by a context of rising prices.

Thus many people are more interested in the second-hand car because it “is not expensive and is accessible to purchase”, while new cars “are not very available”, because of the international situation. marked by a semiconductor crisis and rising raw material costs, she added.

The objective of the show is, therefore, to create a meeting place between buyers, sellers of vehicles, financing companies and the insurance company, noted Ouriaghli.

For her part, the president of the organizing committee of the second edition of the “Auto Occasion” show, Laila Kinana, recalled that the first edition of the show was held before the Covid-19 pandemic, indicating that the second edition intervenes following the request of the public and companies.

This edition, which will be open to the public during the day, has the participation of several exhibitors, finance companies and banks, she continued, noting that the novelty of this year concerns the participation of the Agency Road Safety Authority (NARSA).
