An autopsy will be carried out to determine the circumstances of the death of a 43-year-old man whose body was found in a building located opposite the home of lawyer Claudia Van Der Stichelen, who was shot dead on 28 last October, in Hautem-Saint-Liévin (East Flanders).

Residents of the building reported the man’s death last Friday. A forensic pathologist has been appointed to investigate the causes of death. The prosecution specifies that there is no indication of a criminal act or link with the investigation into the death of the lawyer.
Access to the apartment has in the meantime been released by the police, specifies the prosecution without providing further details. The autopsy will be performed on Saturday.
