The movie Avatar the Way of Water (Avatar 2) directed by James Cameron is getting ready for OTT release. Disney Plus Hotstar has the digital rights of the film. Disney Plus Hotstari will start airing from June 7. Apart from English, the film will also be telecast in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages.

Avatar 2 is the film that has crossed the one billion US dollar collection at the global box office. Avatar has achieved this feat in just 14 days of its release. With this, the film has entered the one billion club in the shortest time this year; Avatar changed to The Way of Water. Avatar the Way of Water is the 6th fastest film to cross the one billion collection mark of all time.

Currently, Avatar The Way Of Water is the third highest grossing film to release after the Covid lockdown. Spider-Man No Way Home and Jurassic World Dominion are the top two films in this list.

Avatar The Way of Water is tipped to surpass Jurassic World Dominion’s collection record soon. The movie that tops this list is Spider-Man No Way Home. Released in December last year, the film collected a collection of US$ 1.91 billion from Sokamemba. No Way Home enters the One Billion Club in just 12 days.

James Cameron’s 2009 film Avatar is still at the top of the world box office list. Avatar, the first installment of Way of Water, has collected US$2.97 billion worldwide. Avengers Endgame had overtaken it to become the highest-grossing film in the world, but Avatar returned to the top spot with its re-release this year.
