AVISO – May 31, 2023 – Beko press breakfast: Microplastics in water / Beko FiberCatcher product launch

2023-05-22 13:32:21

Vienna (OTS) Beko launches a solution to avoid microplastics in the water: The parent company developed the world’s first washing machine with a built-in microplastic filter, and now Beko is bringing this revolutionary technology to the Austrian market: the Beko FiberCatcher. The new technology filters textile microfibers out of the washing water before they get into the sewage system and pollute the environment. The used filters are recycled and new materials are made from them and reused for other manufacturing processes in the sense of a sustainable circular economy.

What is microplastic actually? Where is it from? How does microplastic get into the water? How is the situation in Austria? How does the Beko FiberCatcher work? These and many other questions will be discussed at our press breakfast on May 31, 2023 in the showroom of Beko Grundig Österreich AG.
