In the run-up to the EU elections, the BJV will present on April 22nd. the Austrian results of the EU youth dialogue, which deal with hurdles for the participation of young people.
Vienna (OTS) – The EU Youth Dialogue is a participation instrument for young people at the European level. Within this framework, youth conferences and surveys take place across Europe, the results of which are incorporated at EU level. The Federal Youth Representative Council (BJV) presented the Austrian survey results of the current 10th round of participation in a press conference under the motto “We need YOUth”.
The thematic focus is on Youth Goal #3 “Inclusive Societies”. The EU-wide survey looked at obstacles that young people experience when it comes to their integration into society and what barriers there are to participation, for example discrimination or hate speech.
The BJV uses the survey results to show how young people (aged 14 to 30) in Austria deal with these challenges. Especially with regard to the EU elections, it is important to ensure the inclusion of young people.
