The Russian auto company AvtoVAZ is currently negotiating with three Chinese auto companies on the joint production of cars under the Lada brand.

The company is going to soon complete negotiations with automakers from China, this should happen as early as 2023. Soon, production will begin at the AvtoVAZ car sites in the cities of Izhevsk, St. Petersburg and Tolyatti, in addition, three partners of the company from China will be involved.
In March 2023, the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, noted that the production of cars would begin at the former plant of the Japanese company Nissan in the second quarter of 2023, where Lada cars of the C and D segments would be assembled.
