Awareness and Support for Breast Cancer Screening in Quebec: A Comprehensive Overview

In this month of awareness of the cause, our journalists from across Quebec present an overview of the situation in terms of screening, support and research.

At the heart of this story, we find Mélissa Auclair, a mother suffering from breast cancer who will do anything to stay alive.

From 50 to 69 years old, women receive a letter which allows them to have a mammogram – or breast x-ray – every two years. This age group is at the highest risk of developing breast cancer.

The Canadian Cancer Society is also inviting women in this age group to get screened with its Mémo-Mammo campaign.
