Baalbek Faction Escaped Prisoners Arrested: Army Command Statement

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: “On 1/3/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in the city of Baalbek arrested the two citizens who escaped from the prison of the Baalbek faction (A.H.M.) and (A.H.M.), who are wanted.” Because they committed crimes: robbery and theft by force of arms, assaulting citizens, drug trafficking, and shooting.”

He added, “Another patrol from the directorate also arrested citizen M.S. for stealing antiquities from the Melkite Greek Catholic Archdiocese, and returned the stolen items to the archdiocese.”

The report concluded, “The seized items were handed over and the investigation began with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
