Virat Kohli or Babar Azam is the most debated among India-Pakistan cricket fans these days. Both are considered by the cricket world as the best batsmen in Asia.
Babar Azam is currently the number one batsman in ODIs. Virat is also known as the king of cricket. Everyone is looking forward to the performance of both in this year’s ODI World Cup.
Recently, former Pakistan pacer Rana Naved ul Hasan compared the two and rated Babar above Kohli. Rana made the comparison while speaking on the Nadir Ali podcast. He also says that Babar is technically better than Virat.
“Whenever I compare Babar Azam and Virat Kohli, I always say that Babar is technically better than Virat and that’s why he has less failures. “Kohli has recently struggled to recover from a year or a year-and-a-half of bad form because he is a bottom-handed player and when these players fail, it lasts longer,” Rana said in the podcast.
But he said that Kohli has more shots than Babar and yet Babar uses his limited shots well. Rana says that if he had been in his old ways, they would have easily ousted Virat from both of them.
“If I was in my old rhythm, I could have dismissed Kohli more easily than Babar. I had a good out-swinging ability, so I could edge his bat and get the catch to slip or to the keeper,’ Rana added.
