Vienna – The statement “Airbus will get to know me” made Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner (ÖVP) headlines more than three years ago – a little later Airbus missed the contract that was believed to be safe for the procurement of the medium-sized transport helicopter for the federal army. Now the minister thinks that the new SPÖ chairman should get to know her – and the army, of which he may have had the wrong image since his own service.
