Manama: Schools in Bahrain reopened today after the summer break. Parents reached the bus waiting centers to see off the students from 6 am. At the same time, there was a slight respite from the scorching summer heat which was a great boon for the students.

The weather has been generally good in Bahrain since this morning. Weather experts have also informed that winter will arrive a little early this time. School buses and private buses running on behalf of schools have already completed work including ensuring that the cooling systems are functional. Private school vehicles and school authorities have been directed to strictly follow all the rules laid down by the ministry.

Once the vehicle arrives at the school, a check will be made to ensure that all students have alighted. It is a rule that the responsible teachers or caretakers remain on the buses till the last student gets off even when returning in the afternoon. The fact that students are on the bus should be displayed at the back and the board should be changed after all the students get off.
