Bad Gastein: man fell in the creek bed

The German was injured and found severely hypothermic.

After a short search, the emergency services found an injured man in the Kötschachbach. A passer-by was with him and provided first aid. According to a report by the Salzburg police, the 27-year-old lost his bearings on his way home from a restaurant to his accommodation on Saturday night and fell into the stream. The German injured his head and back. When he was found, he was partially submerged and severely hypothermic. Mountain rescue and helicopters were requested and the injured person was flown to the Schwarzenberg Clinic.
