Bad weather: number 1722 activated

The FPS Interior is temporarily activating number 1722 on Monday evening as the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) issued a bad weather warning.

The 1722 is activated in the event of bad weather and is used to contact the fire brigade for damage caused by a storm or water damage. The aim is to relieve the emergency number 112 of non-urgent calls. When a life is in danger, you must nevertheless dial 112.

An electronic counter available

In the event of a non-urgent need for assistance from the fire brigade, the FPS Interior asks to use the electronic counter www.1722.be. The request will be sent directly to the firefighters, without going through the operators of the 112 emergency centers. .
